The poster details symptoms of disease, causes, treatments and species affected and has been compiled by the BVA AWF using information supplied by Victoria Roberts, Honorary Veterinary Surgeon to the Poultry Club.

Every dog should have a tail to tell...

Tail docking is a painful and unnecessary process which does not benefit dogs.  The BVA AWF believes that Every dog should have a tail to tell and has produced a poster which shows dogs that have not had their tails docked. Our poster has been endorsed by

Pain Management Poster

The UK veterinary profession has, for many years, been at the forefront of development of pain control techniques that improve the care and welfare of animals. The availability of improved scientific and clinical understanding about the management of pain, as well as new agents, prompted the BVA Animal Welfare Foundation to update its well-known ‘Pain Management in Small Animals’ poster, first launched ten years ago.

This poster, produced in conjunction with Alstoe Animal Health, is an easy to use guide to the general principles of pain control in small animals. It also provides species information on both drug dosages and combinations.
