2017 Discussion Forum MONDAY JUNE 5TH 2017

Thank you to all who attended the Discussion Forum on 5th June.  It was a day of stimulating discussion on important welfare issues, made possible by our speakers and delegates who engaged so enthusastically with the debates.

We  want to know what you thought of the day so we can plan an even better event next year.  Please take a few minutes to give us your feedback.

Watch the sessions

AWF's annual Discussion Forum brings together vets, vet nurses, animal welfare organisations, the media and parliamentarians to confront current welfare issues and inspire change.

What delegates say

"One of the most informative and enjoyable events in the veterinary calendar."
"Not one weak or below-par session — amazing."

The topics up for debate:

  • Is modern life incompatible with pet ownership?
  • Are vets failing our horses? - Sponsored by CVS Group Plc
  • A surprise, topical session
  • An update on two Norman Hayward Fund research projects

House of Commons Reception

The post-Forum House of Commons reception (7-10pm) is a joint event with the British Veterinary Association. Members of Parliament and other invited guests join Forum delegates to continue discussions from the day.  We are grateful to Neil Parish MP, for hosting the event this year.

Forum Sponsors

We are exceptionally thankful to all our sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible.

Thanks also to The Webinar Vet for their contribution to the event.
