Student Grant Projects Announced

We are delighted to announce six new student research projects funded by the Animal Welfare Foundation.  As well as improving the welfare of animals, the projects allow us to support the development of the next generation of vets - something that has always been key to AWF’s work.

Students in the UK will be investigating lameness in dairy cattle and public perceptions of welfare in the poultry industry.

Further afield, student projects will look into the health and welfare of donkeys in Tamilnadu and orphaned elephants and rhinos in Assam. Another interesting project seeks to answer the question of why people adopt rescue dogs from abroad.
